NATtrol Norovirus GII Stock (NATNOVII-ST) is formulated with purified, intact recombinant virus particles that have been chemically modified to render them noninfectious and refrigerator stable. Each vial contains 1.0 mL of Norovirus GII NATtrol that contains ~1Kb sequence of the Norovirus GII genome engineered into a surrogate RNA virus. NATNOVII-ST is supplied in a purified protein matrix that mimics the composition of a true clinical specimen.
NATtrol Norovirus GII Stock is designed to evaluate the performance of nucleic acid tests for determination of the presence of Norovirus GII RNA. NATNOVII-ST can also be used for validation of clinical assays, development of diagnostic tests and training of laboratory personnel. NATNOVII-ST contains intact virus and should be run in a manner identical to that used for clinical specimens.
