NATtrol Hepatitis C Virus is designed to evaluate the performance of nucleic acid tests for determination of the presence of HCV RNA. NATHCV can also be used for validation of clinical assays, development of diagnostic tests and training of laboratory personnel. NATHCV contains intact virus and should be run in a manner identical to that used for clinical specimens.

NATtrol Hepatitis C Virus (NATHCV-0001, NATHCV-0002, NATHCV-0003, NATHCV-0004, and NATHCV-0005) is formulated with purified, intact virus particles that have been chemically modified to render them non-infectious and refrigerator stable. Each vial contains 1.0 mL of HCV NATtrol at target concentrations listed in Table 1. NATHCV is supplied in a purified protein matrix that mimics the composition of a true clinical specimen.
