NATtrol Hepatitis B Virus (NATHBV-0001, NATHBV0002, NATHBV-0003, and NATHBV-0006) is formulated with purified, intact virus particles that have been chemically modified to render them non-infectious and refrigerator stable. Each vial contains 1.0 mL of HBV NATtrol at target concentrations listed in Table 1. NATHBV is supplied in a purified protein matrix that mimics the composition of a true clinical specimen.

NATtrol Hepatitis B Virus is designed to evaluate the performance of nucleic acid tests for determination of the presence of HBV DNA. NATHBV can also be used for validation of clinical assays, development of diagnostic tests and training of laboratory personnel. NATHBV contains intact virus and should be run in a manner identical to that used for clinical specimens.
